The disciple can see the seed in full Triangle, from being sown to being incorruptible. What a glorious mystery. That which was dead is now alive again! "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By His great mercy we have been born anew to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead".1 That is the Incorruptible Seed! It is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the Mighty One. "God raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God".2
"You have been born anew, not of perishable seed (the flesh) but of imperishable, (the Spirit) through the living and abiding Word of God. All flesh is like grass, and all it's glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower fades, but the Word of the Lord abides forever. That word is the good news that was preached to you".3
"If Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and our faith is in vain".4 Our God raised the Perfect Seed from death to life. As He raised countless billions of plant seeds to life, Christ became the 'first fruits' of man being raised to life. We are in 'new life form'. "For this perishable nature must put on the imperishable and this mortal nature must put immortality".5 Our victory is "over sin and death", and our Victor is Jesus Christ the Lord. The disciple lives in view of the incorruptible.
Several areas are incorruptible:
1. God, "the glory of the immortal God".6
2. The raised Dead, "will be raised imperishable".7
3. Our rewards are imperishable, "we receive an imperishable wreath".8
The Word of God "abides forever".9 Thus, the seed we sow is about an Eternal God, with an eternal love, through His eternal Son, with eternal life and salvation, with eternal rewards and with an eternal message. Oh, what love!
"If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through His Spirit which dwells in you".10 "In all these things we are now more than conquerors through Him who loved us". "Nothing in creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord".11 What loving and holy promises!
Disciples, we are to sow seeds, feed seeds and let the Father succeed through us. The glorious message and mystery of the new life in loving, abiding and bearing fruit is entrusted to the faithful who will in turn tell others. Praise Him forever!
